While sitting here at the dr. office, doing a 3 hour glucose screening(the things we do for our kids-4 blood draws!) I thought I'd write about our Christmas and New Years! The week of Christmas Braucht , Lisa and kids came in from TN. We loved having them and getting to spend LOTS of time with them. Logan and Gracie played pretty well and Westin and Kaylin too! We did the Walters' tradition of making homemade raviolis and then we had them for dinner another night. We also played Taboo one night which was LOTS of fun... and we will take lots of memories from that night. (pictures to come later!)
For Christmas Eve, Lance and I let the kids open one gift-- pajamas. So, we let them wear them to bed that night. Logan put cookies out for Santa and he thought he would like chocolate milk since he gets regular white milk everywhere else! After getting kids in bed, I finished wrapping some things for the rest of the family.
Christmas day was really special. We woke up about 9ish and allowed the kids to go downstairs to see what "Santa" brought. Logan got a Leapster 2, a game for it, some new Cars he didn't have, puzzle, shoes. Kaylin got some new shoes, a new outfit and blanket. After opening the gifts, our favorite neighbors Bob and Ray came over. Bob now lives in an apartment but he wanted to play Santa for the kids and boy did he spoil them. We really miss him.Ray surprised us by bringing homemade goodies his wife had made. We then got ready and headed to the Walters for lunch and presents. Logan got Optimus Prime transformer, some pjs, puzzles, clothes and Connect Four. Kaylin got a new lego table, some legos, clothes, new church shoes, and some other fun things! After having a good meal, naps for kids and watching some football, we headed to my dad's and Rhoda's. Grandma Hinds was in for the week so we got to have Christmas with her too! It was special. Whitney and Matt were there and Randi. The kids got to open presents. Logan got a video game and carrying case for his Leapster and Kaylin got her first Vera Bradley purse and some really cute outfits and new pink church coat. Over all we had a busy but wonderful Christmas with family!!
New Years we went to spend in PA with family. Lance's great grandmother turned 90!!! We went over Thursday night and stayed with Vi's family on the farm. We spend most of New Years Eve there and then went over to the Walters' house for dinner and games. We played Bonko all night until just before the ball dropped. The kids were up and it was a LONG night for them. It was just too loud to lay Kaylin down and she had fun visiting!
New Years day we went back to the Walters' family and had a BIG dinner. We enjoyed spending time with LOTS of family and friends. I love getting together with family. It's always so memorable and so much fun to just relax and have a great time.
Update on baby. I'm now 26 weeks today. And we found out we are having another girl on November 29th. She's growing healthy and getting big. She's due April 15th. Still trying to come up with a name! I'm praying that this test comes back normal and we should know today sometime I believe. I will post pictures later of Christmas and New Years. I can't wait to see what 2011 is going to bring Lance and I. I know we will have an addition to the family. At least we know that much but I can't wait to see what God also has in store for us. I'm praying and trying to trust in God for everything in lives. He always provides for our needs even though it might not always be in our timing! Logan is going to be starting kindergarten this fall.. and he wants to play t-ball in the spring! He's getting so big and fast. I thank the Lord every day for our kids that they are healthy!

10 on the 11th! :)
Ok, so today is December 11th.. and although I was suppose to post this yesterday.. here it is. I took the idea from Kathy that she found on another blog! It's 10 on 10! That's why it should have been posted yesterday.. oh well! :) It was a busy day for us.. and Kaylin and I are feeling a bit under the weather! Here it goes... enjoy!
Here's my precious Kaylin at nap time... snoring away because she has a sinus infection! She's goes for nap time so nice I wish it was that way at bed time..... ahhh some day! But in the mean time I'll snuggle with her! :)
Here's Logan bear... it's his favorite thing to sleep with and when Kaylin goes down he puts his Logan bear down for a nap!! :)During nap time it gives me time with just LOGAN! And he loves that time.. so since it has been not so cold the last couple days... calm before the "storm", we have gone out some to enjoy it while we can.
This is him on his race car big wheel... he LOVES. He loves to go over to the neighbors and have time trials from his drive way to ours!
Here's the princess getting up from her nap time!! :) She of course had to grab her blankie, bear and binky!!
After nap time drink for both kids.... just got these... so it's a special treat!
This is one of her favorite things to play with! She loves sitting with her blanket and doing the magnets while I'm cooking or cleaning up the kitchen! Here's a picture of the angel Logan finally found from Sunday School to put on our tree!! :)
And I know this picture wasn't from the 10th.. but my other pictures I took yesterday didn't turn out so I posted the 10th photo of a cute one of the kids posing.... Kaylin in Logan's cars hat and his shoes which she loves getting into everyday so it kinda works! And it happens to be November 1oth! :)
And for some reason this post took me SOOO long to post. The pictures kept going back to the top.. anyone have insight for me to fix it for next time that would be awesome! I hope to do better with this next time and become more creative!Tuesday, November 9, 2010
Our Trip To PA and FL over the summer.....
I'm just sitting outside with my kids LOVING the fall weather.... it's November and it's mid-60's here. That's really unusual for OHIO weather.... it's normally pretty chilly out. Even last week the highs were in the 30's-40's lows in the 20's! We even saw snowflakes! Anyways- thought I'd update with some pictures of the kids this past summer and fall since I haven't really wrote anything since then.
Logan, Kaylin and I went and spent a week in PA over the summer. Lance was going to have to go to Buffalo for work so I figured I'd go spend some time with his grandparents in PA since it wasn't that far away. It was really nice just getting away and going to see all the family. I'm starting to realize how big Lance's family really is. We first went to the farm and spent time there. That was fun. We got to see all Logan's second cousins which Logan loves playing with. Then the last 1/2 the week we went to his other grandparents (Walters) and we went to DelGrosso park, and went and fed the ducks and fish in Bellefonte. It was really nice!
Lance came back over that Friday and that's when we went to the park the kids are at. Lance and his brothers when they were little went there. We then went to State College Sunday night to enjoy the fireworks. We camped out all day with the family at the RV and enjoyed food and fun together. The kids really liked the fireworks.... :)
We also went to eat at The Shed while we were there.. it had the best BBQ and sweet tea ever! We also got to visit with some friends of Lance's.. and mine now... from TN who were actually there on vacation too! It was really neat because we were going to try and see them when we were passing through TN but they ended up being like 10m from us in Florida on vacation too! More to come in next post.... :)

We drove to Chattanooga TN to meet up with Lance's older brother Braucht and his wife Lisa, and the 2 kids Gracie and Westin, also Bryan and Nicole and drove from there to FL. It was a LONG drive but WELL worth it. It was absolutely beautiful there!! White sand beaches and CLEAR blue water! Here's the view from outside a resturant we went and ate at called the Back Porch. The WHOLE back of the place was out and you could just walk out onto the beach! Everyone was worried about the oil spill and such but there was nothing.. it was gorgeous!!! Here's an updated picture of Lance and I too! We never get a picture together.... :)

I haven't blogged in a while and thought I would sit and write an update of what's going on in "our neck of the woods" :) Lance and I have been married just 6 years this past Sept. 2010! We are very happy! He's still working with his dad and loves it. He's been promoted to production kitchen manager. He's not driving anymore but maintaining what comes in and out of the kitchen. We thought it would be less time in the office but he's still working 12-14hours a day... most of the time! I'm still staying home with the kids. We just found out well a couple months ago we are expecting a 3rd baby! Pretty excited... a little shocked at first but happy to have a third and final child! :) We are due April 15, 2011. So I'm about 17wks now! We won't find out what we are having until the big ultrasound on Nov. 29th. And that's if I want to find out... still not really sure. I'd rather be surprised but Lance really wants to know. I think he's got his hopes up for a boy again... so we will see. Logan is 4 1/2 now. He's getting big. He's about 48lbs and 3 1/2 feet tall. He's into puzzles and writing his name and letters now. He will start school next fall... he can't wait! Also he wants to play t-ball in the spring so we will be signing him up as soon as it gets warm out. Kaylin is 20 months. She's into everything. She's wanting to do everything Logan does. She's climbing up the stairs now. She is a very happy active girl! Girls are definitely different from boys so I'm learning as I go again! :) God has truely blessed us with a wonderful little family. I can't wait to add to it in April. We will be done then! :) I'll update again later. But this is what's going on with us! :)

A New Kitchen and 2 Vacations Later.....

It's been a while since I posted and LOTS has happened. Benjamin graduated high school end of May and the beginning of June was his party. Lance's uncle Craig and his Pap came in for the party. They ended up working on my kitchen and getting the cabinets all installed. Lance had the kitchen primed and ready to paint that Friday but they came Friday and worked from 2 in the afternoon until 430am the next morning to get them all in. It made for a LONG night with the kids but it was SOOO worth it to have done! It looks AWESOME!! :) The floor got put in the next day and it looks great too. So thankful!!
Next would be my trip to PA-- I went for almost 2wks. Lance had to go to Buffalo for work so I decided I would go spend some time over there with his grandparents. We had a surprise 50th birthday party for Vi... she had no clue. She thought we were going to Charlotte yet we were actually relaxing at the pool the WHOLE week :) It was great to see al l the family. Bryan and Nicole came up from Virginia too. The party was Saturday and Lance left on Sunday--I stayed there at the Rogers' house until Wednesday morning. Logan had fun on the farm with running to the barn and spending time with his cousins. I had fun hanging out with all the Rogers'! :) Next we went up to the Walters' house. It was great too. We went to feed fish in Bellefonte and the ducks. Pap let Logan help mow on the tractor and he took him fishing too. He caught 5 trout. He loved it... and was very proud. Lance came back over that Friday and we went to State College on Sunday for the fireworks. It was a day of camping out in the parking lot and then watching the fireworks with his family.... LOTS of fun! I'll post more pictures later and the next vacation too later....

A Peak of Light is at the End of the LONG Tunnel..... :)

Lance has been working .... SOOOOO hard on our house. We have both been getting sooo anxious to have this project complete. I know he's tired of coming home to a house that's under construction and the feeling that he has to work on something after working all day. I know for me.. I feel like there's not much I can do to help.. and I don't want to be rushing him to get things done.. but I really want life back to somewhat normal.. and I can have a clean house once again. Is that too much to ask? He has got the painting done in the front room. It just needs one more coat. And he's going to paint up the hall and down too with the same color.. the same color will be in the kitchen. Just seemed easier that way to do it.. plus the cabinets and everything will cover up the space so you won't see much of the paint anyways. Lance's dad came over this past weekend to help Lance with the electrical in the kitchen and Sunday they got one wall of the new drywall put up.. they are going to finish the other part on Wednesday. This weekend.. we are hoping that our friend will be able to help with the door. We have to replace the back door because of rotting that got covered up by the previous owner. At this pt. I could care less about the cabinets.. although I'm excited to see the finished project but I really just want my floor the most.. :) Laminate flooring... yay!

....Under Construction....
Well for those of you wondering how the construction is going... it's going.... just not as fast as Lance and I hoped for. The front room/dining room is almost ready for flooring. Lance painted the ceiling last night.. it need one more coat. The sanding of the spackle on the new dry wall is done.. looks like it might need another coat too.. then just priming and painting.. and that room will be ready for floor.
Our kitchen is needed a new door.. and we are going to take the old door out and put a new one in with a window... there was a hole in the floor that was just covered up by previous buyers.. so we have to fix that.. because water was getting in and rotting away our door and the flooring. The kitchen also needs two new walls.. and all painted then we can get flooring done in there.. then it will be just a matter of getting the cabinets put up. Still a long way from being done. I know God is teaching me patience. And I'm trying to pray for opportunities to be patient but it's soo hard sometimes. I'm having a hard time living in this "construction" zone! It's making me crazy!
